TErms & Conditions
We assure you of a professional and high standard of care in a safe and comfortable environment
Requirements for boarding
All animals must be fully vaccinated against Feline Enteritis and Upper Respiratory Infection (Cat Flu) and a valid vaccination card must be witnessed on check-in of your pets stay. Should a valid vaccination card not be witnessed, we will have no alternative but to refuse boarding. Vaccinations and boosters should be complete 2 weeks prior to boarding. We are happy to maintain boosters & flea treatments should your cat be with us long-term. This will incur additional charges. Without exception, no cat will be accepted if they are suspected to be suffering from a contagious disease or infection. Un-neutered cats over 6 months old are not permitted as they represent a risk of infection.
All cats must be admitted in suitable & clean carriers. All cats must be admitted & accompanied by a member of Staff.
Veterinary care
As the welfare of your cat is our primary concern during its stay, should your pet show signs of illness or in any circumstance which we feel appropriate, we will seek veterinary advise and follow any treatment plans advised. Administration of medicine/treatment will incur a small daily charge. Any medical condition must be disclosed to Cats & Co. prior to boarding. In the case of emergency, we will endeavour to contact your chosen Veterinary Centre but should emergency care not be available, then Donaldson & Partners, will be contacted. Should your cat require isolation, they will be admitted to your chosen Veterinary Centre. If your chosen Veterinary Centre does not provide isolation facilities, your cat will be placed in the care of Donaldson & Partners, until the time that the cat can be returned to Cats & Co. or on your return. All veterinary costs involved are the responsibility of the owner on return. Should your chosen Veterinary Centre be outside a 5 mile radius of Cats & Co, any traveling will incur standard mileage costs in addition to boarding.
In the unfortunate event that your cat is critically ill, all attempts will be made to contact the owner to discuss. As these instances can be time sensitive due to animal suffering, if contact cannot be made, we will act on Veterinary advise and in the best interest of the animal at all times and without exception. Should your cat die or be euthanized while in our care, the animal will be kept at your chosen Veterinary Centre or should they not have this facility, Donaldson & Partners. All costs involved are the responsibility of the owner on return.
In any case of Veterinary care or treatment, by accepting our terms & conditions, the owner is authorizing Veterinary Records to be released to Donaldson & Partners.
Collection of Prescriptions & Routine Veterinary Visits
Should your cat be with us long term, we will collect any prescription medications necessary to continue with ongoing treatments or to maintain general healthcare i.e. worming treatment etc. Veterinary visits can be arranged for boosters, check ups etc. which may be required. It is the responsibility of the owner to arrange and discuss with their Veterinary Centre prior to admission and instructions given in writing to Cats & Co. on admission. Should any routine treatments i.e. worming treatment or routine Veterinary visits be required, these must be stated on the Admitting Form. Any medication or conditions must be disclosed to Cats & Co. before admission. All Veterinary costs are the responsibility of the owner. Additional charges apply.
